Jazz Teacher & Company Choreographer
Jasmin Turner has performed since the age of five. Born and raised in Columbia, MD she started in gymnastics and quickly picked up dancing in high school under the instruction of Christine Estabrook at Wilde Lake High School. She concentrated on Jazz Dance, and participated in Dance Company, the school Musicals, and was Cheer Captain. She wore many hats but her passion for dance continued. In college she minored in Dance, she was a member of the Salisbury University Cheerleading Team and the student run Untouchables Dance Group. She continued to take dance classes at the university level including Musical Theater, Jazz, Ballet, Dance Education and Teaching. Her college journey included choreographing, preparing for homecomings, competitions, and annual recitals. And through these associations, she was able to devote a lot of time to volunteer work stemming her passion for children with disabilities. She has sang and danced at food drives, youth conferences, and coached Special Olympics Cheerleading. She is currently in Graduate School pursuing a degree in Dance Movement Therapy. Dance occupies the biggest space in her heart and it has given her countless opportunities to share her passion and creativity with others.
